I have a quick confession to make…

It took me over five years to learn how to make money on the net on a consistent basis and I was spending more money (much more) than I was making. And that ws all because of my ignorance and the burning desire to start making money fast. That caused me to go chasing after “The Holy Grail” or the “Magic Silver Bullet”. As I recall, I was on everybody’s mailing list. And I can attest to the fact that “the money’s in the list”… Their List – Not mine. All I had were empty pockets and a seriously “over-worked” set of credit cards!

Then one day when things were getting real bad – I mean real bad, I knew deep inside me that I had to do something drastic because the credit card debts won’t just vanish into thin air.

So I sat down and dusted off some rust off the old ebooks and software that I had bought over the years and never put them to full use because of lack of focus – flitting here and there.

As the say, “Necessity is the mother of invention”! Well what you’re about to read is the result of my dire need to pay off my credit card bills and stay one step ahed of financial disaster.

Until YOU start learning how to make money on the net, I suggest un-subscribing from all those lists whose owners are leading you down the garden path. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate or dislike them. You see, I am on plenty of those lists because they are super valuable to me AT THIS POINT IN TIME because now I am making money and know how to stay focused and on target.

And my reason for being on those lists now? Because…
I get to read about all the new, big product launches.
I learn from their emails and headlines strategies.
I see different styles of copywriting.
I figure out all the “Hot Button” emotional triggers, etc..

However, I DON’T recommend you sign up and stay on too many lists. As a matter of fact, If you’re spending more than 15 minutes a day reading and following up emails, then you’re working for the guru. And you will end up spending more than you’re making. This is the first and most important lesson in learning how to make money on the net.

I humbly suggest, ONLY AFTER YOU ARE MAKING MONEY CONSISTENTLY – AND, CAN PAY TO OUTSOURCE SOME OF THE NECESSARY WORK THAT BRINGS YOU THE MOOLAH – should you even consider being on so many lists.

Enough ranting Sam, let’s get down to business right away because we don’t want to be wasting time…

First Point…
You have to decide whether you will this marvellous adventure as a hobby, OR you really want it to be a profitable business. “Internet Marketing” is a serious business and you need to approach it as such.

Second Point…
You MUST be able to FOCUS on the things that you need to be doing.

Third Point…
You must have a plan of action and you must persistently follow through on all your Bullet Points.

Fourth Point…
You must cut out all activities that will distract you from pursuing your objectives. Things such as spending hours reading through your emails and dashing off to websites to read about the latest and greatest thing since sliced bread. Not only will you save time – You will save money… Lots of money. And, spend less time on your favourite social bookmarking websites. You don’t make money chatting your life away.

Fifth Point…
You must have some money available to spend on acquiring the necessary tools.
